Putting a property project brief together
Record the site, intended use and checks needed before agreeing the work.

A property instruction should identify the site, the person giving the instruction, the intended use and the work under discussion. Include available drawings, photographs and any known access restrictions.
Ownership and authority to instruct work require their own checks. A photograph, listing or discussion is not a substitute for title checks, approvals or a written contract.
For renovation or construction, describe the areas affected, the preferred timing and how the site will remain accessible. The service desk can then discuss the inspections and documents needed before confirming a quotation.
